Anne Perry (natural October 28 1938), born Juliet Hulme within England, is a British historical novelist and convicted liquidator (view likewise Parker-Hulme Murder).

A girl of Dr. Henry Hulme, a physicist, Perry was diagnosed with tuberculosis and was sent by her family to the Caribbean and South Africa in search of healthier climates. She rejoined her personal after her father took the position when rector of the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Together using her friend Pauline Parker, Hulme murdered Parker's mother in June 1954. Hulme's parents were in the run of separating, & Hulme was supposed to attend South Africa to stay by using the relative due to her health problem (including the severe bout with tuberculosis). Them girls experienced concocted the rich phantasy life populated by using illustrious actors, including James Mason and Orson Welles, & it believed that Parker and Hulme can instead attend England with Hulme's father. Parker's mother, Honora Rieper (world health organization never legally married Pauline's father), got objected to the closeness of the girls' friendly relationship & Pauline's isolation from either either any more friends, & Pauline believed that her mother would prevent her from allowing Future Zealand by using Juliet. Pauline began to write around her diary that she wished her mother to die, and finally hatched the murder plot that she shared with Juliet.

In June 22, 1954, the girls placed the trap for Honora Rieper. When retired for the hike, Juliet dropped a rock thus that Ms. Rieper would lean all over to retrieve it. At that point, Pauline was to hit her mother by having a brick wrapped inside a stocking, & the girls presumed that would destroy the woman. Instead, it took 45 hits from either a brick to eventually defeat Honora Rieper; a brutality of the crime has contributed to its ill fame.

Parker & Hulme stood test around Christchurch in 1954, and were observed shamefaced in August 29 of that year. When it were as well immature to become considered for a dying penalty under Just released Zeal& law at the period, it were convicted and sentenced to exist as ''detained when you took Her Majesty's pleasure. Within practice, this phrase intended it were to exist as detained at a discretion of the Minister of Justice. It were freed on an individual basis a few 5 years late.

These cases formed a basis for the 1994 film Heavenly Creatures'', in which Kate Winslet portrayed the teenaged Juliet Hulme.

Fallowing existence freed from either prison, Hulme returned to Engl& and became the flight attendant. She one of these days settled in the United States, where she joined a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She late settled inside Scotland.

Hulme's number one novel, The Cater Street Hangman, was published in 1979. Her works typically fall into one of many categories of genre fiction, including historical mystery novels and fantasy. Numbers of of the two feature the total of recurring characters, most importantly Thomas Pitt, who appeared inside her number 1 novel, & William Monk, who number one appeared within her 1990 novel The Face of a Stranger. When of 2003 she has published 47 novels, and many collections of short stories.
